Since 1997, the National Park Service has shared a significant and dynamic partnership with the Eppley Institute for Parks and Public Lands at Indiana University. Over this period, the Eppley Institute has worked with the NPS to design several interactive and informative courses, ensuring that these courses are educationally strong and of the highest academic standard. The collaborative effort of the National Park Service and the Eppley Institute has resulted in the advancement of a variety of other educational tools and training programs. This development continues with the release of Introduction to National Park Service courses, which is the National Park Service and the Eppley Institute's first set of free online courses open to the public.
